How to Make Balloon Squish Monsters

Looking for a fun and stress-relieving craft? These Balloon Squish Monsters are perfect for kids and adults alike! They’re easy to make, super fun to squeeze, and can be customized with silly faces and colorful hair.

Follow this simple guide to create your own squishy monster stress balls.

Materials Needed

  • 1 empty plastic water bottle
  • 1 balloon (any color)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of flour (or sand)
  • 1 piece of paper (to make a funnel)
  • 1 marker (permanent, to draw the face)
  • Scissors
  • Wool or yarn (optional, for hair)
  • Tape

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Funnel and Fill the Bottle

Roll up a piece of paper to create a simple funnel and tape it to hold its shape.

Place the funnel into the opening of the plastic bottle.

Slowly pour flour or sand into the bottle through the funnel.

If the flour clogs, use a chopstick or skewer to push it through.

Step 2: Inflate and Attach the Balloon

Slightly blow up the balloon to stretch it out. Do not tie it!

Carefully stretch the balloon opening over the bottle’s neck while keeping it inflated.

Slowly turn the bottle upside down and gently squeeze the flour into the balloon.

Once all the flour is inside, carefully remove the balloon while holding the open end tightly.

Step 3: Remove Air and Tie the Balloon

Let the air slowly escape from the balloon, being cautious to prevent any flour from escaping.

Once all the air is out, tie a tight knot at the balloon’s opening.

If needed, clean off any flour residue from the balloon’s surface.

Step 4: Add Monster Hair (Optional)

Take some wool or yarn and wrap it around your fingers to create a bundle.

Tie a separate piece of yarn around the middle to hold it together.

Secure the hair to the knot of the balloon using another piece of yarn or glue.

Step 5: Draw the Monster Face

Use a permanent marker to draw two fun, silly, or spooky eyes.

Add a grinning mouth, sharp teeth, or even a wacky mustache!

Allow the ink to dry before squishing your monster.

Time to Squish!

Your Balloon Squish Monster is now ready to be squeezed, squished, and played with! These stress balls are perfect for fidgeting, gifting, or just adding a little fun to your day.

Tips & Tricks:

If your monster is too firm, remove some flour before tying the knot.

Experiment with different balloon colors and facial expressions.

Store in a dry place to keep your squishy monster lasting longer.

Enjoy making and squishing your personalized Balloon Squish Monsters! 🎈👾
