The Nerf Rival series is another great blaster series that youngsters enjoy a lot.

You can thus imagine how excited I will be to get my hands on a Nerf blaster in the Rival series that doubles as a sniper rifle.

I’ll go through the main features of this powerful blaster in our Nerf Rival Jupiter review and give you my frank opinions.

What Is Jupiter, the Nerf Rival Edge?

As previously stated, this specific model is from the Edge sub series. The Nerf Jupiter is a blaster from the well-liked Rival series. The Edge series of blasters has a lime-green color scheme and emphasizes target shooting over action-packed battle games.

The Jupiter is a spring-loaded, bolt-action blaster that was first introduced in 2019. It has an internal magazine that can carry ten rounds and a clear window. It also features a rear monopod, a detachable bipod, and an integrated shoulder stock.

In terms of performance, the Jupiter is impressive. It boasts a very respectable firing accuracy and an advertised velocity of 90 feet per second (27 meters per second).

Take note that a really awesome custom-made target is included in the package with this blaster. A small bell chimes when you hit this target, and that is really entertaining. When you reach the goal, it gives you the impression that you are being rewarded.

Why Would Nerf Jupiter Be Beneficial?

1.) Masterful Design

The Jupiter’s design is excellent both in terms of appearance and feel as well as ergonomics.

Although I also prefer the typical red and blue color schemes of many other Rival blasters, I think the lime-green color scheme is appealing. Not everyone will agree with me on this point.

The ergonomics are also excellent. When held against the shoulder for an extended period of time during a combat, the material used to make the shoulder stock doesn’t cause fatigue or ache.

Nerf Rival Edge Jupiter XIX-1000 specifications

There is a Rival rail at the top and one at the front of the Nerf Jupiter. Keep in mind that N-Strike attachments cannot be used with these rails; only Rival attachments can, and vice versa.

It’s also important to note that the Jupiter may be used as a reliable sniper rifle because to the sturdy feel of both the front and rear bipods.

2.) Firm Action Bolt Priming System

Priming the Jupiter is exactly how a sniper rifle should function—with that classic, correct bolt-action movement. The handle of the blaster must be raised, pulled back, pushed forward, and pushed down once more in order to be ready to fire.

Though it may seem counterintuitive, taking the extra step of raising and lowering the handle is beneficial. That distinguishes the Rival Jupiter from other Nerf sniper rifles and is actually how a real sniper rifle should operate.

All things considered, the priming mechanism is incredibly smooth, intuitive, and has a very pleasant grip.

3.) A Clear Window and Easy Magazine Loading

Perhaps not a major feature, but I really enjoy the Nerf Rival Jupiter’s integrated magazine with a transparent see-through window. The magazine’s inside is visible from the blaster’s two sides.

The magazine is located directly above the rail at the front of the blaster. Through a hole at the top of the blaster, extra or new bullets can be loaded into the magazine.

Take note that the magazine cannot be opened with a flap. Rather, the magazine opens up to allow you to add rounds as needed while priming back. That feature is nice because it eliminates the need for a separate step to manually open the magazine.

Ten rounds is reasonable for a Nerf blaster that resembles a sniper rifle. Of course, you can boost that if you’d like to with mods and attachments.

Is the Nerf Rival Jupiter Discontinued?

At the time you are reading this article, you may not find this product on Amazon, but there are other platforms like eBay where you can get this product.

Last Words

The Rival Edge of Nerf Jupiter is deserving of a place on my ranking of the finest Nerf sniper guns. The Jupiter is an excellent blaster that feels quite sturdy and has a sturdy appearance.

But remember, the Jupiter is made for target shooting, which is the main purpose of the Edge line. This implies that players using other Rival blasters will perform better than you, for instance, if you bring this blaster to a Nerf war.

However, the Edge Jupiter XIX-1000 is a great Nerf blaster if you’re searching for a stylish, effective sniper rifle-style weapon.
