Within the Phantom Corps sub-series, the Nerf Rival Hades XVIII-6000 is a spring-powered, pump-action blaster that can fire both single and slam shots.

With a built-in magazine that holds 60 rounds, the Hades is a medium to large-sized weapon that is similar to the Rival Artemis in terms of size, shape, and internal mechanism.

I’ll go through some of the best aspects of the Rival Hades in this review and give you my personal assessment of it.

The Nerf Rival Hades: What Is It?

The Hades XVIII-6000 is a 60-round blaster from the Phantom Corps sub-series of the well-liked Rival blaster line that was first produced in 2018. This blaster is powered by springs and has two firing modes: single and slam.

Let’s see if I still think highly of the Nerf Rival Hades as much as I did of the small, sturdy Artemis, which I used to be and still do.

Insight Magazine: Exploring a Variety of Topics

The magazine in the Hades has a capacity of 60 rounds, which is obviously a significant upgrade over the 30-round magazine in the Artemis.

The integrated magazine is made up of three non-detachable, independent 20-round tube-style magazines. The tubes on the Hades are fairly lengthy, making it a huge Nerf blaster.

Use the slider located at the top to gain entry to the tubes’ slots and insert the rounds into the three tubes. The three magazines must be loaded separately from one another.

It does take some time to fully load all three magazines, even though the loading procedure is quite simple. Because their magazines have a single large opening at the top, loading the Prometheus or Rival Nemesis, for instance, is a lot simpler and faster procedure.

Shooting Excitement: Exploring the Joy of Firearms

While there are some Nerf blasters that are not as good as they should be, the Nerf Rival Hades is a blast to prime and shoot.

The priming handle is locked into place after it has been primed until the firing trigger is pulled. Overall, the shooting and priming process feels quite robust and seamless, whether it is being done in single or slam fire mode.

In the unlikely event that there is a jamming problem, the Hades also features an un-jamming button on the side that lets you unlock the priming handle.

It’s also Important to note that the front muzzle is made up of four rotating smaller barrels. The barrels spin to assist in removing the subsequent round from the magazine after you prime. Put otherwise, the feeding mechanism includes the rotating parts.

It’s Interesting to note that the bottom barrel is the only one of the four that actually shoots ammunition. Therefore, even though the three additional barrels aren’t working, the blaster’s spinning front end looks incredibly impressive.

Superb Comfort: Exploring Ergonomic Designs

It must be acknowledged that the Nerf Rival Hades is an exceptionally ergonomic device overall.

The Hades feels quite sturdy overall, and everything about it—the grip, loading, priming, firing, and blaster weight—works incredibly well.

However, the Hades is a quite large and lengthy Nerf blaster, so it might not be the best choice for younger children.

Final Thoughts

In response to my own query, I would say that I prefer the Hades to the Artemis by roughly the same amount. The Hades even boasts a larger internal magazine, and both the quality and performance are extremely comparable.

However, I would still unjustifiably choose the Artemis, mostly because I like blasters that are small in size. Additionally, I prefer the Artemis’ color scheme over the Phantom Corps blasters’.

Having saying that, I can’t really find anything wrong with the Hades—it’s a great Rival blaster. It looks fantastic, primes and fires easily, has superb ergonomics, and can contain an incredible 60 rounds.

If there was one criticism to make, it might be that the Hades’s shooting velocity isn’t quite as fast as that of other Rival blasters. However, considering how well the Hades fires in comparison to most non-Rival Nerf blasters, that is by no means a deal-breaker.

The Nerf Rival Hades XVIII-6000 is one of my all-time favorite Nerf Rival blasters, and I include it on my list of favorites.
