Presidents’ Day is a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to the history of the United States and the leaders who shaped it. But let’s be honest history lectures can be boring for little ones!
The best way to learn is through doing. That is why we are excited to release our Presidents’ Day Activity & Coloring Bundle.
This set of 10 Free Printable A4 Worksheets covers everything from math and logic to creative writing and history. Whether you are a teacher looking for “morning work” or a parent wanting an educational activity for the holiday, this pack has something for everyone.
What’s Inside This Presidential Pack?
We have designed these sheets to be age appropriate for preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary students. Here is a closer look at the fun activities included:
1. Fun With History & Facts
Whose Item Is That? A fun matching game! Kids draw a line to connect George Washington to his cherry tree/wig and Abraham Lincoln to his top hat/log cabin.

Washington’s Life Timeline: A cut and paste activity. Children cut out images (baby, soldier, President, dollar bill) and paste them in the correct chronological order.

Comparing Presidents (Venn Diagram): A great critical thinking exercise. Students list things unique to Washington, unique to Lincoln, and things they have in “Both” common.

Presidents’ Day Word Hunt: Can you find words like “Vote,” “Leader,” “Honest,” and “Flag”? This word search is great for vocabulary building.

2. Math & Logic
Patriotic Patterns: What comes next? Kids complete the pattern using flags, eagles, bells, and hats.

Counting Lincoln’s Logs: Help build the cabin! Children count the stacks of logs and write the correct number in the box.

Path to the White House Maze: Help the President navigate the twisty maze to arrive safely at the White House.

3. Creativity & Writing
If I Were President… This is always a favorite! A writing prompt where kids can dream big. Will they give free ice cream to everyone? Will they stop homework? It’s always fun to read their answers.

Color the White House: A “Color by Number” activity. Kids use the key (1=Blue, 2=Red, etc.) to reveal a patriotic scene of the White House.

Our Great Presidents: A classic coloring page featuring detailed portraits of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

How to Use These Worksheets
Classroom Stations: Set up a “Math Station” with the Lincoln Logs sheet and a “Writing Station” with the “If I Were President” prompt.
Social Studies Lesson: Use the matched items and timeline sheets as a visual aid while telling stories about Washington and Lincoln.
Quiet Time: The Word Hunt and Coloring pages are perfect for settling down after recess.
Happy Presidents’ Day! We hope these worksheets make history come alive for your little learners.
