A Sweet and Simple Easter Craft to Treasure Forever!

Looking for an adorable and easy Easter craft that’s perfect for kids of all ages? These Paper Handprint Bunnies are not only fun to make, but they also double as a precious keepsake for parents and caregivers.

Using just a few basic supplies, your little one’s handprint is transformed into a cute bunny face — making this a charming craft for Easter, springtime, or even just a fun weekend activity.

Let’s hop into the tutorial!

What You’ll Need:

  • White or pastel-colored construction paper
  • Pink construction paper (for the nose and ears)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or craft glue
  • Googly eyes (optional — can also be drawn!)
  • Black marker or crayon
  • Pencil (for tracing)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Trace the Handprint

Start by placing your child’s hand flat on a piece of white construction paper. Using a pencil, trace around the hand carefully.

Tip: Make sure fingers are spread out a bit to give the bunny some fun “ear” space!

Step 2: Cut Out the Handprint

Using safety scissors (or helping little ones with this part), cut out the traced handprint. This will become the bunny’s face and ears.

Step 3: Create the Bunny Face

Turn the handprint upside down — the fingers become the bunny’s ears, and the palm becomes the face!

Glue googly eyes onto the palm area. If you don’t have googly eyes, draw them on with a marker or crayon.

Cut a small pink triangle or heart shape for the bunny’s nose and glue it below the eyes.

Use a black marker or crayon to draw on the mouth and whiskers.

Step 4: Add Inner Ears
Cut out small ovals from pink paper to create the inside of the bunny’s ears (fingers). Glue one oval onto each finger.

Optional: Let kids color or decorate the ears with stickers, glitter, or patterns to make their bunny unique!

Step 5: Customize and Display
Let your child sign their name and write the year on the back for a cute memory keepsake. You can even turn the handprint bunny into:

A greeting card

A fridge magnet (just add a magnet to the back!)

A wall hanging or door decoration

Why We Love This Craft:

Keepsake Value: It captures your child’s handprint — something you’ll cherish for years.
