Supplies You’ll Need:
- Paper plates (both standard and sturdy types)
- White paper (for bunny ears)
- Pink tissue paper or construction paper
- Scissors
- Markers or crayons
- School glue or glue stick
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Cotton balls (for bunny tails)
- Popsicle sticks or any stick-like handle
- Pipe cleaners (optional, for whiskers)
Craft #1: Easter Bunny Face with Paper Plate
This cheerful bunny face is fun to make and even more fun to show off. It can double as a cute Easter decoration or be turned into a bunny puppet with a handle.
Steps:
1.) Create the Bunny Ears

Trace and cut out two bunny ear shapes from white paper.
Use one ear as a template to ensure they’re the same size.
Cut small pink tissue paper squares and glue them to the center of each ear for that classic pink-and-white bunny look.
2.) Make the Bunny Face

Take your paper plate and draw on the bunny’s eyes, nose, mouth, and whiskers using markers or crayons.
No googly eyes? No problem—just draw them in!
Want to upgrade the nose? Use construction paper or a crumpled piece of tissue paper for a 3D effect.
Pipe cleaners can be used for fun, curly whiskers!
3.) Attach the Ears

Glue the ears to the back top of the paper plate using school glue.
Let it dry fully before handling.
4.) Add a Handle (Optional)

If you’d like to turn this into a puppet or a sign, glue or tape a popsicle stick to the back of the plate.
No popsicle sticks? Try using a clean paintbrush handle or a craft dowel!
5.) Don’t Forget the Fluffy Tail!
Glue a cotton ball to the bottom back of the plate to give your bunny a soft little tail.
Craft #2: Rocking Paper Plate Bunny
This one is extra fun because it can actually rock back and forth like a little bunny seesaw!
Steps:
1.) Fold & Cut the Paper Plate

Start with a standard paper plate and fold it in half.
Cut the plate along the fold so you end up with two halves.
2.) Make the Bunny Base

Take one half and fold it into a triangle to help the bunny “stand” and rock.
3.) Create & Attach the Ears

Use the other half of the plate to cut out bunny ears.
Add pink paper to the center of each ear for detail.
Glue the ears to the top of your rocking triangle base.
4.) Add the Face

Draw eyes, a nose, and a mouth.
For the nose, crumple up some tissue paper or use a small pom-pom.
Keep it playful and expressive!
5.) Let It Rock!

Set your bunny down on a flat surface and give it a gentle push—it’ll wobble back and forth like it’s hopping into spring!
Extra Crafting Tips:
Let kids personalize their bunnies with stickers, glitter, or even mini Easter hats!
Try using colored paper plates for a bright twist.
Want to turn it into a basket? Add a handle and staple or glue a small pouch to the back for holding treats.
