The Ultimate St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt for Kids

Are you feeling lucky? St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time for a treasure hunt! Whether you are a teacher planning a classroom party or a parent looking for a fun way to keep the kids busy while you cook corned beef and cabbage, we have the perfect activity.

We are excited to share our St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt Pack.

This free download includes 2 Printable A4 Worksheets to suit your needs: a vibrant, full color checklist and a black and white coloring version. It gets kids moving, searching, and celebrating!

What are they searching for?

We have included 16 classic Irish themed items for your little leprechauns to find. The list includes:

  • A Clover (Shamrock)
  • A Gold Coin
  • The Flag of Ireland
  • A Leprechaun’s Hat
  • A Horseshoe
  • A Map of Ireland
  • Striped Socks
  • Black Shoes with buckles
  • A Leprechaun (Toy or picture!)
  • A Pot of Gold
  • A Harp (Symbol of Irish music)
  • Green Clothing
  • A Rainbow

Two Ways to Play

We know every setting is different, so we have provided two versions of the hunt:

1. The “Color & Find” Sheet (Black & White)

Best for: Classrooms, Restaurants, or Quiet Time.

How to use: This sheet doubles as a coloring page! Give kids a box of crayons. As they find the items (either hidden around the room or spotting them in a book), they can color in the picture on their sheet to check it off.

2. The “Official Checklist” (Full Color)

Best for: Active Scavenger Hunts or Outdoor Play.

How to use: Print this sturdy, colorful sheet. Hide physical items (like chocolate coins, a green t shirt, or a printed picture of a leprechaun) around the house or yard. Give the kids a clipboard and a pencil, and send them off to find the treasure! When they spot an item, they mark the circle with a check.
