Looking for a creative and eco-friendly Easter craft to do with your kids? These Toilet Roll Easter Bunnies are the perfect mix of cute, fun, and simple! Whether you’re crafting with your little ones or making a quick classroom project, this bunny craft is a fantastic way to repurpose those empty toilet paper rolls and bring a little Easter magic to life.
No matter what color rolls you have at home—brown, white, or something in between—this craft is totally customizable. Let’s hop into how it’s done!
What You’ll Need:
- Empty toilet paper roll (any color works!)
- Googly eyes (2 per bunny)
- Pipe cleaners (2, for whiskers)
- Mini pom-pom (for the nose)
- Cotton ball (for the tail)
- Construction paper (to match the roll + pink or light color for ear details)
- Glue stick
- Hot glue gun (adult use only)
- Marker (to draw the mouth)
- Scissors

Step-by-Step Instructions:
1.) Start with the Bunny Face

Grab your toilet paper roll. If it’s brown and you’d prefer a white bunny, just paint it white ahead of time.
Using a hot glue gun (parents only), attach the googly eyes and the mini pom-pom nose near the top half of the roll.
While the glue sets, kids can help draw the bunny’s smile or cute little buck teeth using a marker.
2.) Whiskers On Point!

Cut two pipe cleaners into smaller sections to make bunny whiskers.
Hot glue the whiskers just under the nose, then bend them slightly to give them shape and character.
3.) Add the Bunny Ears

Trace and cut out two ear shapes from construction paper that matches the color of your toilet roll.
Cut smaller pieces of pink paper to go inside the ears.
Glue the pink pieces onto the ears for a finished look.
Attach the ears to the inside top rim of the toilet paper roll using hot glue. (This step may require an adult’s help—regular glue doesn’t hold as well.)
4.) Add the Fluffy Tail

Flip your bunny around and hot glue a cotton ball to the back for the cutest little tail you ever did see.
5.) Final Touches
Add any extras you want: a mini bowtie, drawn-on eyelashes, or even a name tag!
Snap a photo and display your bunny proudly.
Craft Tips:
Want to keep it glue-gun-free? You can substitute hot glue with strong craft glue, but you may need to give it more drying time and skip heavier decorations.
Don’t have colored construction paper? Use white paper and color it in with markers or crayons.
Create a whole bunny family with different sizes of toilet paper and paper towel rolls!
Why Kids (and Parents) Love This Craft:
