We are excited to share our Easter Skip Counting Puzzle Pack.
This set of 4 Free Printable A4 Worksheets combines math practice with fine motor skills. Kids must arrange the strips in the correct numerical order to reveal a cute spring picture. It’s a self correcting activity if the numbers are out of order, the picture won’t look right!
What’s Inside This Math Bundle?
We have included four different puzzles to suit various skill levels, from Kindergarten to 2nd Grade:
1. The Hatching Chick (Count 1-10)
Skill: Sequencing numbers 1 through 10.
The Picture: A vibrant scene of a yellow chick hatching from a decorated Easter egg, surrounded by spring flowers like daffodils and tulips.
Best for: Preschoolers and Kindergarteners just learning to count.
2. The Easter Bunny (Skip Count by 2s)
Skill: Counting by 2s (2, 4, 6… up to 20).
The Picture: A cute brown bunny holding a basket full of carrots and jelly beans.
Best for: 1st Graders learning even numbers.
3. The Sheep in the Meadow (Skip Count by 5s)
Skill: Counting by 5s (5, 10, 15… up to 50).
The Picture: Two fluffy lambs resting in a field of colorful tulips under a bright sun.
Best for: 1st and 2nd Graders practicing multiples of 5.
4. The Giant Easter Egg (Skip Count by 10s)
Skill: Counting by 10s (10, 20, 30… up to 100).
The Picture: A massive, patterned Easter egg hidden in tall grass with butterflies fluttering around.
Best for: Kindergarteners and 1st Graders mastering “tens.”
How to Prepare and Play
Option 1: Cut & Paste Activity (One-Time Use)
Print: Give your child a copy of the puzzle page.
Cut: Have them carefully cut along the dotted vertical lines to separate the strips.
Mix: Shuffle the strips on the table so the picture is scrambled.
Solve & Glue: Ask them to find the first number (e.g., “1” or “10”). Glue that strip onto a blank piece of construction paper. Find the next number and glue it right next to the first one until the picture is complete!
Option 2: Reusable Math Center (Teacher Favorite!)
Print & Laminate: Print the pages on cardstock and laminate them before cutting.
Cut: Slice the laminated page into strips.
Store: Keep the strips for each puzzle in a separate ziplock bag or envelope.
Play: Students can take a bag, assemble the puzzle on their desk, and then mix it up and put it back for the next student.
